When one thinks of American car brands, it is most often that these three are the first to come to mind: Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge. This is due to the fact that they clearly have had the most success out of all American manufacturers. This has resulted in them having very long histories, which do not seem to be coming to an end any time soon. However, the one area in which we will be looking at is their sports cars.
This list will be discussing 15 forgotten sports cars from these brands. They will be from a number of different time periods as well. The overall quality and success of these cars will certainly vary, but even with this being the case, it is quite cool to take a look back in time. They certainly deserve to be talked about far more, thus, that is what we are about to do.

15 1991 Dodge Stealth
The 1991 Dodge Stealth is the type of car that should be talked about way more. With a top speed of 160 MPH, it definitely packed quite the punch, especially when seeing its release year. Although it would never reach the level of popularity as the Charger, it is clear that this is still a sick car.
14 1982 Ford EXP
The 1982 Ford EXP is a sports car that many people are not aware of today, especially those who are new drivers. This is a shame, as this car came with such a high degree of power and an overall smooth ride. The manufacturer should be proud of this creation, as it is quite impressive.
13 1975 Chevrolet Monza
The 1975 Chevrolet Monza is a forgotten sports car from this brand. It has been noted by critics as a vehicle that simply was released at the wrong time, as it was not appreciated. However, this car has been able to gain some interest from car collectors, even though regular drivers likely have never heard of it.

The 1984 Dodge Daytona is forgotten by many today, as its series would end far sooner than the brand had hoped for. However, this vehicle definitely had some positive elements, such as its stylistic choices and interior design. Therefore, we feel as though that it is one that people should be more aware of.

The 1970 Ford Torino GT is a car that has been forgotten, simply due to how old it is. However, even with this being the clear case, it really deserves a lot of love. It would end up thriving when it came to its speed and handling. It is weird that the brand would not make this series last longer.

The 1991 Chevrolet Lumina Z34 is not a car that many people are aware of at this present time. It is quite honestly a shame, as this vehicle had an amazingly smooth ride to go along with a powerful engine. It was a cool twist from the regular Lumina series, as it brought upon something different.

The 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4 is a car that many people have completely forgotten about. A major reason behind this is the fact that the manufacturer has gone with entirely different models since this one. This car is one that is amazing with its handling and appearance, so it should be discussed more today.

The 1999 Ford Puma is one of the fastest cars ever from this brand, yet it is apparent that not many people know of it. This is honestly a shame, as it has many qualities that make it a truly superior car. It has been noted by previous owners for its reliability and top of the line handling.

The 1988 Dodge Lancer Shelby is a forgotten gem from the history of the automobile world. This vehicle is one that took a boring series and made it extremely cool. It is quite challenging to find a single flaw in this car, yet, as time goes by, it continues to be forgotten more.

To round off this list, let's look at the 1983 Ford Fiesta XR2. Although the Fiesta series is certainly remembered, as it would last for a number of years, its sports car release is not talked about much at all. This is such a hidden gem, as it was a small, yet very speedy car that many who drove it would adore.

The 1998 Ford SVT Contour is a vehicle that has been forgotten by many. This is largely because of the fact that its series was rather short lived. However, this car definitely would provide a lot of entertainment for those who owned it, as it clearly came with a high degree of performance.
1 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS
Although the 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt SS is only ten years old, it is fair to state that most younger drivers have never heard of it. This is because of the fact that it did not leave much of an impact at all on the automobile world. It was primarily disliked by critics too, as it became known for its poor handling.
