Hyundai said its i20 minicar will be its first model in Europe to get a new company-wide design language it calls "Sensuous Sportiness."
Hyundai released design sketches of the new-generation i20 ahead of its debut at the Geneva auto show on March 3.
The sketches show that the new i20 will have a sportier and more dynamic look than the current car.
In a news release, Hyundai said its new design direction is aimed at giving its cars and SUVs a distinctive look and more emotional appeal.
The i20's interior also gets an overhaul. A new digital cluster and the main center fascia have been combined, and feature two 10.25-inch screens.
The i20 was the third most popular Hyundai car in Europe in 2019 after the Tucson compact SUV and Kona small SUV. European sales of the i20 fell 7.5 percent to 84,692, according to JATO Dynamics market researchers.
